If you think the market action is over for November - think again.

This month has already kicked off with a bang:

Yet, there remains more potentially market-moving events ahead!

Here are 5 major events (plus, a bonus event at the end), barring any surprises, that are not to be missed by traders and investors:

Nov 6th: US jobs report

The October US nonfarm payrolls (NFP) a.k.a. jobs report, is expected to show resilient hiring in the world's biggest economy as of last month.

If so, that could pave the way for the Federal Reserve a.k.a. the Fed a.k.a. the world's most powerful central bank to raise US interest rates next month (Dec 2026).

Shifting expectations surrounding the timing of the next Fed rate hike has been one of the most important factors driving recent prices of gold, stocks, FX, bonds, even cryptos.

Nov 10th: US inflation report

The US consumer price index (CPI) is expected to show still-elevated inflation.

This will be the last CPI figures before the Fed's December rate decision.

Further evidence of stubborn inflation may pave the way for the Fed to raise rates again next month - with markets currently predicting an 81% chance of a Dec rate hike.

Nov 17th: Nvidia Earnings

At the time of writing, Nvidia has been surpassed by Apple as being the world's most valuable company.

Nvidia's hopes of reclaiming that crown will be bolstered if it can:

NVDA stocks are forecasted to move 5.8% up/down right after its earnings announcement after US markets close on Nov 17th.

Anthropic to set record-breaking IPO this month?

Market hype surrounding this highly-anticipated IPO (initial public offering) was taken up a notch after publicly filing its S-1 on October 27th, with formal marketing to potentially start next week (Nov 9th onwards).

The AI developer behind Claude is looking to either equal, or surpass, SpaceX's US$ 75B IPO back in June - still the world's biggest IPO so far.

NOTE: Bybit clients have been able to trade Anthropic's pre-IPO perps since mid-July.

However, it remains to be seen how much appetite there is for Anthropic's publicly-available shares, in light of:

  • Anthropic's commitment to spend US$ 895 billion on computing power over the coming years

  • Already-slowing revenue growth (+45% Q3 vs. Q2, vs. +140% in Q2 vs. Q1)

  • potentially mounting AI scrutiny from a Democrat-led Congress.

Anthropic's IPO is expected to happen before Nov 26th (Thanksgiving).

Will Trump ease up on Iran?

US President Donald Trump had repeatedly cited the possibility of resuming US military attacks on Iran after the just-concluded US midterm elections.

Perhaps now smarting after the Republicans' heavy defeat at the hands of the Democrats at the Nov 3rd polls, Trump told the Financial Times that he now has no immediate plans to strike Iran.

Markets will be ready to react on how Trump manages his foreign agenda, following his domestic political defeat.

Brent Oil already sank back into sub-$100/bbl prices, and will remain sensitive to developments surrounding the Middle East conflict - so too will the likes of gold, stocks, FX, and even crypto.

And speaking of Trump's foreign agenda ...

🗓️ Extra: Trump-Xi-Putin summit on Nov 18-19?

Preparations are reportedly underway, though not confirmed yet, for a potential meeting between Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Such a first-ever, three-way summit could be held at the APEC summit in Shenzhen, China on Nov 18-19.

Any hint of de-escalation, be it on trade or geopolitical tensions, could be the surprise catalyst of the month.
